For supporters outside Brazil
Favela Brass teaches young people from Rio de Janeiro's favelas and public schools to play brass and percussion, free of charge, since 2014. If you live outside Brazil, this is the simple way to help: a one-off gift or a monthly contribution, in any currency, by card or PayPal.

Everything we teach is free for the students. Donations pay for teachers, instruments and the day-to-day running of the programme.
Weekly brass and percussion classes inside five partner public schools in Rio, for children who would otherwise never touch an instrument.
Five sessions a week in Pereira da Silva, the community where the project began: individual lessons, music theory and band rehearsals.
Students borrow trumpets, trombones, saxophones and drums to practise at home, and perform across the city all year round.
One button covers both. Any amount, any currency, from any country.
Your donation goes to Associação Musical Favela Brass, the Brazilian nonprofit association that runs the project. PayPal handles the currency conversion, so you can give in pounds, euros, dollars or anything else.
To become a monthly supporter, tick "Make this a monthly donation" on the payment page. Monthly gifts are what let us plan ahead.
One-off or monthly: choose on the next page.
For a larger gift, a bank transfer or any question, write to tom@favelabrass.org. Donations are tax-deductible in Brazil only.
From a first trumpet lesson in a public school to the stage of a festival, every step of a student's journey is funded by people who decided to help. Wherever you are, you can be one of them.
